Have you tried Wingstop Glasgow?
There are certain places that end up sitting on my food bucket list for absolutely ages.
Every time I see somebody posting about them, I think to myself, I really need to get round to trying that.
And for me, Wingstop Glasgow was one of those places.
If you’ve followed Ribz Reviews for any length of time, you’ll know that chicken wings are one of my absolute favourite foods.
Buffalo wings, spicy wings, boneless wings, wings absolutely drowning in sauce.
I’m a fan of the lot.
And don’t even get me started on ranch dressing.
Actually, we’ll get to that shortly. 😂
So when I finally got the chance to visit Wingstop at the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow, I was genuinely looking forward to it.
I’d heard plenty about the place, and with so many different flavours to choose from, it seemed like it could be an absolute belter.
But there was one question I wanted answered.
Would Wingstop live up to the hype?
Interestingly, when I mentioned my plans to visit on social media, the opinions were pretty mixed.
Some people seemed to love it.
Others weren’t quite so enthusiastic.
So I was looking forward to finding out for myself.
And after trying a selection of wings, four flavours and, of course, a couple of tubs of ranch, I had a few thoughts.
Some good.
Some not quite so good.
Let’s get into it.
Please note: This review reflects my experience at the time of visiting. Menu items, flavours, prices and availability may have changed since then.
My First Visit to Wingstop Glasgow
Wingstop was somewhere I’d wanted to visit for a long time.
And the main reason was simple.
I absolutely love chicken wings.
They’re one of those foods I never seem to get tired of trying.
I’ve had wings from restaurants, bars, takeaways and all sorts of different places over the years.
And whenever I see somewhere that specialises in them, I’m immediately interested.
Wingstop was particularly appealing because of the different flavour options.
Rather than simply ordering one portion of wings with one sauce, you can explore several different styles.
And that’s exactly what I wanted to do.
I wasn’t interested in visiting for just one flavour and calling it a day.
I wanted to get a proper feel for what was on offer.
So we decided to order a mixture of traditional and boneless wings, along with a selection of flavours.
And naturally, ranch dressing was an essential part of the order.
Because what’s the point in having wings if you’ve got nothing to dip them in?
Well, that’s my philosophy anyway!
What Did We Order at Wingstop?

For our visit to Wingstop Glasgow, we ordered:
- 8 boneless wings
- 8 traditional wings
- Atomic flavour
- Spicy Korean flavour
- Louisiana Rub
- OG flavour
- Two tubs of ranch dressing
A decent selection to get started with.
Sixteen pieces of chicken altogether, four different flavour choices and plenty of ranch for dipping.
Now, before anybody starts asking me to rank every individual flavour, I should point out that this review is based on my overall impressions from the visit.
I particularly enjoyed the boneless wings, with the OG flavour being my favourite.
The spicy Korean wings weren’t really for me.
And the ranch?
Well, the ranch deserves its own section.
Obviously.
The Wingstop Ranch Dressing – Let’s Talk About It!

Right.
We might as well get the most important part of this review out of the way.
The ranch dressing.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll already know that I’m a massive fan of the stuff.
I genuinely think a good ranch dressing can take a plate of wings to another level.
There’s just something about dipping spicy chicken into a lovely ranch sauce that works beautifully.
And when I visit somewhere that specialises in wings, the ranch is always going to be something I’m interested in trying.
So how did Wingstop’s version compare?
Very well, actually!
Now, I wouldn’t say it was the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had.
I’ve tried some absolutely outstanding versions over the years, so the competition is pretty fierce.
But Wingstop’s ranch certainly didn’t disappoint.
It was exactly the sort of addition I wanted alongside the chicken.
And I think the best way to explain how much I enjoyed it is with a small confession.
Once I’d finished dipping my wings, I drank the remaining ranch straight from the tub. 😂
Aye.
You read that correctly.
And no, I’m not ashamed.
Well, maybe a wee bit.
But not enough to stop me doing it again!
If that doesn’t tell you I enjoyed the ranch, I don’t know what will.
So while it might not have taken the crown as my all-time favourite, it certainly got a big thumbs-up from me.
Wingstop Boneless Wings – A Big Positive!

Moving on to the chicken itself, let’s start with the positives.
Because there were definitely things I enjoyed about this visit.
The boneless wings were a highlight.
I really enjoyed both of the flavours we tried with them.
Now, I know some people will tell you that boneless wings aren’t really wings.
And technically, I understand the argument.
But personally, I’m not particularly bothered what you want to call them.
If it’s tasty chicken covered in a cracking flavour, I’m interested.
And on this occasion, I enjoyed what I had.
Sometimes I prefer traditional wings.
Other times, boneless chicken is exactly what I’m in the mood for.
It really depends on the place and the flavours.
At Wingstop, the boneless options were definitely among the more enjoyable parts of my order.
And there was one flavour in particular that stood out.
The OG Flavour – My Favourite of the Visit
Of the boneless wing flavours I tried, OG was my favourite.
And considering how much I enjoy trying different wing sauces and seasonings, that’s a pretty important part of the review.
Whenever I’m ordering a selection of flavours, I’m always hoping that at least one will really stand out.
Something that makes me think, Aye, I’d definitely order that again.
And for me, the OG flavour was the winner.
It was the one I enjoyed most from the boneless selection.
And if I was heading back to Wingstop and choosing based on this visit, it would certainly be one of the flavours I’d consider ordering again.
That’s one of the things I like about restaurants offering a variety of wing flavours.
Everybody has their own favourites.
Some people want something extremely spicy.
Others prefer a dry rub.
And some just want a good, familiar flavour they know they’ll enjoy.
For me, OG came out on top during this visit.

Atomic, Louisiana Rub and the Different Wing Flavours
Alongside OG and Spicy Korean, our order included Atomic and Louisiana Rub.
One of the main reasons I’d wanted to visit Wingstop was the opportunity to try several different flavours in one sitting.
And getting four options gave us a bit of variety.
It’s something I always enjoy when reviewing wings.
Rather than committing to one big portion of a single flavour, I like being able to compare different options.
Especially when you’re visiting somewhere for the first time.
You never know which one is going to become your favourite.
Sometimes it’s the flavour you were most excited about.
Other times, it’s something you almost overlooked when ordering.
For this visit, I don’t have a detailed individual verdict on Atomic or Louisiana Rub, so I won’t pretend otherwise.
But both were part of the selection we tried.
And overall, the variety was one of the reasons I’d been so keen to give Wingstop a go.
Spicy Korean Wings – Not My Favourite

Now, moving on to something I wasn’t quite as enthusiastic about.
The Spicy Korean wings.
These weren’t really for me.
And I want to make something clear straight away.
That doesn’t necessarily mean they were bad.
It simply means I wasn’t particularly keen on that flavour.
There’s a big difference.
One of the things I’ve always tried to be fair about when reviewing food is separating personal preference from quality.
Just because I don’t love a particular flavour doesn’t mean somebody else won’t think it’s absolutely tremendous.
And with wing sauces, that’s especially true.
Everybody has different tastes.
Some people love certain combinations that others aren’t particularly interested in.
And that’s perfectly fine.
For me, the Spicy Korean option wasn’t one I’d be rushing to order again.
But I’m sure there will be plenty of people who feel completely differently.
In fact, I’d be interested to hear from anybody who considers it their favourite Wingstop flavour.
Because that’s half the fun of reviewing food.
We all like different things!
Is Wingstop Glasgow Good Value for Money?
Now, here’s another area where I wasn’t completely convinced.
The value for money.
And I think this is worth discussing because price can make a big difference to how you feel about a meal.
Especially when you’re visiting somewhere you’ve been looking forward to for ages.
On this occasion, I didn’t think Wingstop represented particularly great value.
That’s not to say it was the most expensive wing meal I’ve ever had.
Far from it.
I’ve definitely paid more money for less food in other places.
So I wouldn’t want to make out that Wingstop was outrageously expensive compared with every alternative.
But based on my experience, I wasn’t blown away by what I got for the money.
And when you’re reviewing food, I think that’s an important part of the overall picture.
It’s not simply about whether something tastes good.
It’s also about whether you feel you’ve received reasonable value for what you’ve paid.
Some places are so good that you’re happy to spend a little more.
Other times, you finish a meal feeling that the price was a bit harder to justify.
For me, Wingstop fell somewhere in the middle.
There were parts of the order I really enjoyed.
But the overall value wasn’t one of the things that particularly impressed me.
Did Wingstop Live Up to the Hype?
So, here’s the big question.
After having Wingstop on my list for so long, did it live up to the expectations?
Partly, yes. But not completely.
I enjoyed the boneless wings.
The OG flavour was my favourite.
And the ranch dressing was very good.
Good enough that I ended up drinking the remains from the tub, which is probably more information than anybody needed. 😂
But there were also a couple of things that stopped the experience from being a complete winner.
The Spicy Korean flavour wasn’t to my personal taste.
And I wasn’t entirely convinced by the value for money.
So it was a bit of a mixed experience.
Not bad.
Certainly not something I’d describe as a disaster.
But equally, it wasn’t the unforgettable wing experience I’d been hoping for.
And that’s absolutely fine.
Sometimes a place you’ve been excited about for ages turns out to be good rather than exceptional.
It happens.

Why Wingstop Gets Such Mixed Reviews
One thing I found interesting about this visit was the reaction from people when I mentioned Wingstop on social media.
There were quite a few mixed opinions.
And after visiting, I can understand why different people might come away with different impressions.
If you’re somebody who absolutely loves the flavours on offer, you might think it’s brilliant.
If you’re particularly focused on value for money, you might be a little less enthusiastic.
And if you’re a ranch dressing fanatic like me, you might find yourself enjoying that almost as much as the chicken!
Everybody has different priorities when eating out.
Some people want huge portions.
Others are happy to pay more for flavours they really enjoy.
And some people simply want to try somewhere they’ve seen all over social media.
That’s why I always think it’s worth trying places for yourself.
Reviews can help you decide where to go, but ultimately, your own taste is what matters.
Would I Return to Wingstop in Glasgow?
I’d certainly consider it.
There were enough positives from this visit that I wouldn’t rule out going back.
I enjoyed the boneless wings, and I’d happily have the OG flavour again.
And, of course, I’d be ordering ranch.
Probably more than I actually needed.
Although based on my previous behaviour, maybe there’s no such thing as too much ranch. 😂
But would Wingstop be right at the top of my list when I’m craving wings?
I’m not sure.
I’ve tried some cracking wings over the years, and there are plenty of other places I’d like to explore.
So while this was an enjoyable enough visit, it hasn’t automatically become my new favourite wing spot.
Still, I’m glad I finally got round to trying it.
It had been on my list for ages.
And at least now I know what I think.
Where Is Wingstop in Glasgow?
The branch I visited was located at:
Wingstop Glasgow
St Enoch Centre
Glasgow City Centre
It’s a convenient location if you’re spending time shopping or exploring central Glasgow.
As always, I’d recommend checking the latest opening hours, menu and prices before visiting.

My Final Verdict – Wingstop Glasgow
So, after years of wanting to try Wingstop, what did I think?
Overall, it was a mixed but enjoyable experience.
There were definitely things I liked.
The boneless wings were good, with OG being my favourite flavour.
And the ranch dressing?
Aye, that was a winner.
Not the best I’ve ever had, but certainly good enough that I finished every last drop.
Quite literally. 😂
On the other hand, the Spicy Korean wings weren’t particularly to my taste.
And I didn’t think the overall order offered especially good value for money.
Although, to be fair, I’ve paid more for less elsewhere.
So I’m certainly not writing Wingstop off.
I’m glad I finally got round to trying it, and there were parts of the meal I’d happily have again.
But did it blow me away?
Not quite.
And considering how much I love wings, the competition is always going to be fierce.
The search for my ultimate wing spot continues!
Have You Tried Wingstop?
This one certainly divided opinion when I mentioned it on social media.
Some people absolutely love Wingstop, while others aren’t quite so convinced.
So now I want to hear from you.
Have you tried Wingstop, and which flavour would you recommend I order if I go back?
And while we’re at it…
Where in Glasgow or Lanarkshire serves the best chicken wings?
Because I’m always looking for another contender!
