Mollys Deli Coatbridge Review – A Chicken Tikka Salad Box Packed to the Brim!

Have you tried Mollys Deli Coatbridge?

There’s nothing quite like finding a wee local deli that doesn’t hold back when it comes to portion sizes.

And on my ongoing mission to find the best salad boxes in Lanarkshire, I made a stop at Mollys Deli Coatbridge.

Now, I’ve tried a fair few salad boxes over the years.

Some have been absolutely tremendous.

Others have left me wondering whether the person making them was rationing the lettuce. 😂

But one thing I always appreciate is somewhere that gives you a proper generous portion.

And Mollys Deli Coatbridge certainly wasn’t shy in that department!

Because when I got my hands on this chicken tikka salad box, the first thing I noticed was just how much food they’d managed to squeeze into it.

The thing could hardly close!

Now that’s what I like to see.

Chicken Tikka Salad Box From Mollys Deli Coatbridge.

For this visit, I decided to go with a chicken tikka salad box.

It’s one of those options I regularly gravitate towards when I’m picking up lunch.

I enjoy chicken tikka, and it’s a good way to add a bit of flavour to what might otherwise be a fairly straightforward salad.

And let’s be honest, when you’re going around trying to find the best salad boxes in Lanarkshire, you want something that’s going to feel like a proper meal.

Not a wee handful of lettuce and a couple of bits of chicken sitting at the bottom of a container.

Thankfully, that wasn’t going to be a problem here.

Because the portion was absolutely massive.

Honestly, I could hardly get the lid closed over the thing. 😂

And for me, that’s always a promising start.

I love seeing a salad box that’s absolutely packed with food.

There’s something satisfying about opening one up and finding that they’ve really made an effort with the portion.

Especially when you’re picking something up for lunch and want it to keep you going.

And Mollys Deli Coatbridge certainly delivered on that front.

A Proper Generous Salad Box!

Now, I know portion size isn’t everything.

You can have the biggest salad box in Scotland, but if the food isn’t enjoyable, it doesn’t really matter how much they’ve given you.

But when you combine a generous portion with something you actually enjoy eating, you’re onto a winner.

And that’s pretty much how I’d describe this visit.

A big, generously filled chicken tikka salad box that I thoroughly enjoyed.

There was certainly no shortage of food.

And I think that’s something worth highlighting because I’ve visited plenty of places where the portions have been a lot less impressive.

Sometimes you open a takeaway container and wonder where the rest of your lunch has gone.

Not here!

Molly’s had packed this one right up.

Exactly the sort of portion I like.

And there was even a wee addition that made me particularly happy.

Even a Wee Boiled Egg!

Now, this might sound like a strange thing to get excited about.

But there was even a boiled egg thrown into the salad box.

And I’m absolutely all about that! 😂

I know it’s only a wee thing.

But I love a boiled egg in a salad.

It’s one of those simple additions that makes the whole thing feel a bit more substantial.

And when you’re already getting a generous helping of chicken tikka and salad, it’s a nice wee extra to have included.

Sometimes it’s those little touches that you remember.

And I definitely appreciated this one.

Between the chicken tikka, the salad and the boiled egg, I was more than happy with what I’d picked up.

A cracking wee lunch.

My Search for the Best Salad Boxes in Lanarkshire

Now, this visit was actually part of a bigger mission I’ve been working on.

Trying to find some of the best salad boxes around Lanarkshire.

And it’s something I really enjoy doing.

Because while I absolutely love my burgers, pizzas, curries and all the other ridiculous food combinations I regularly get myself involved with, sometimes I fancy something a wee bit different.

And a good salad box can be a brilliant lunch option.

Especially when somewhere gives you a proper selection and doesn’t hold back on the portions.

I’ve been trying them from different cafés, delis and takeaways across the area.

And it’s interesting to see how much they vary.

Some places focus on massive portions.

Others have more unusual fillings.

And some have a really good selection of toppings and extras.

For me, the ideal salad box is one that combines a generous portion with plenty of flavour.

Something that feels like a proper lunch rather than a token attempt at eating some vegetables. 😂

And Mollys Deli Coatbridge certainly impressed me with the amount of food included.

It’s one I’d happily include among the places I’ve enjoyed on my salad box travels.

Although I still have plenty more to try before deciding on my overall favourites.

Why I Need to Revisit Mollys Deli Coatbridge.

Now, here’s the thing.

As much as I enjoyed the chicken tikka salad box, Mollys Deli Coatbridge is somewhere I feel I need to revisit.

Because this was really just a quick stop to try one particular item.

And while I was more than happy with my lunch, I don’t feel like I’ve properly explored what else the deli has to offer.

That’s one of the challenges when you’re visiting so many different local food businesses.

Sometimes you head somewhere with one particular thing in mind.

You try it.

You enjoy it.

And then you’re off to the next place.

But every now and again, you come across somewhere that makes you think you really should go back and give something else a try.

And Molly’s is definitely one of those places.

The salad box was good.

The portion was excellent.

And it was an enjoyable first visit.

But next time, I’d like to try something a wee bit more exciting.

Something different from my usual chicken tikka salad box.

Because while I love finding a good salad, there’s a whole world of other scran out there waiting to be reviewed.

And I certainly don’t need much encouragement to go and try it. 😂

So Molly’s Deli is firmly on my list of places to return to.

Where Is Mollys Deli Coatbridge?

If you’re looking to visit, you’ll find Molly’s Deli at:

Mollys Deli Coatbridge

It’s another local business worth knowing about if you’re looking for somewhere to pick up lunch in Coatbridge.

And based on my visit, they certainly know how to fill a salad box!

My Final Verdict – Mollys Deli Coatbridge

Well, this was a cracking wee stop on my search for the best salad boxes in Lanarkshire.

I went for the chicken tikka salad box.

And the first thing that impressed me was the sheer amount of food they’d managed to pack inside.

The lid could hardly close!

Now that’s my kind of portion. 😂

I enjoyed the chicken tikka option, appreciated the wee boiled egg and was more than happy with the overall lunch.

Would I say this was the greatest salad box I’ve ever eaten?

I’m not going to go that far.

But it was a good, generously filled salad box that I thoroughly enjoyed.

And sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for.

The biggest takeaway from this visit, though, is that I definitely need to return to Mollys Deli Coatbridge.

Because I feel like there’s more for me to explore here.

Next time, I’ll be looking to try something a little different and see what else catches my attention.

But for now?

A very enjoyable chicken tikka salad box and a massive thumbs up for the portion size.
