House of Shah Hamilton Review – Taking on the Massive Cheesy Box!

Have you tried the House of Shah?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from reviewing takeaways around Lanarkshire, it’s that people absolutely love recommending their favourite meals.

And sometimes, when enough people recommend the same thing, you’ve just got to give it a go.

That’s exactly what happened with the Cheesy Box from House of Shah in Hamilton.

I’d posted about House of Shah quite a few times previously, and every time, somebody seemed to mention the Cheesy Box.

Apparently, it was something I needed to try.

Well, after wondering what all the fuss was about, I finally got round to ordering one.

And I’ll tell you something.

You certainly don’t need to worry about going hungry with this one! 😂

Please note: This review reflects my experience at the time of visiting. Takeaway menus, prices and box contents can change, so check directly with House of Shah for their current offerings.

What’s in the House of Shah Cheesy Box?

The Cheesy Box is essentially a massive takeaway feast, combining several favourites into one box.

Here’s what was included when I ordered:

  • Cheese pizza
  • Cheeseburger
  • Chips and cheese
  • Donner meat
  • Naan bread

And because apparently that wasn’t quite enough food for us, we decided to add a tub of masala sauce as well.

Because sometimes you just have to, don’t you?

There’s something brilliant about having a big selection of takeaway favourites all together.

A bit of pizza, some chips, a cheeseburger, donner meat and naan bread.

It’s the sort of order where you can just keep picking away at different things until you physically can’t manage another bite.

And with this particular box, there’s certainly plenty to work your way through.

The House of Shah Pizzas Always Look Immaculate

House of Shah

One thing I’ve noticed from my visits to House of Shah is just how good their pizzas always look.

And I don’t just mean that they look tasty.

I mean the actual presentation.

Their pizzas always seem to be immaculately presented.

Everything looks carefully put together, and you get the impression that somebody has taken a bit of pride in making them.

That’s something I really appreciate.

When you’re reviewing as many takeaways as I do, you see all sorts of food presentation.

Some places clearly put a lot of effort into it.

Others look as though they’ve launched everything into a box from the other side of the kitchen. 😂

House of Shah has consistently impressed me with how well-presented its pizzas are.

And the cheese pizza included in this box was another good example.

Sometimes it’s the little things that stand out.

A Massive Takeaway Feast for Sharing

Now, here’s where the Cheesy Box really comes into its own.

This is a serious amount of scran.

With pizza, a cheeseburger, chips and cheese, donner meat and naan bread all included, there’s plenty of variety.

It’s exactly the sort of thing I’d consider ordering if I had a few people round and wanted something everyone could get stuck into.

Rather than everybody ordering something completely different, you’ve got a big selection of takeaway favourites to share.

Although, in our case, there were only two of us.

And that probably wasn’t the most sensible number of people to tackle something this size.

Did that stop us ordering it?

Absolutely not. 😂

So Much Food We Had Leftovers for Breakfast!

There’s something strangely satisfying about ordering a massive takeaway and knowing you’ve got plenty left for the following day.

And that’s exactly what happened here.

With just the two of us working our way through the Cheesy Box, there was no chance we were finishing everything in one sitting.

So we ended up with plenty left over.

Breakfast sorted for the next morning! 😂

Not exactly your traditional bowl of porridge, but who’s complaining?

That’s another thing worth considering if you’re ordering one of these boxes.

You don’t necessarily need to finish everything at once.

Although if you’re planning on saving leftovers, make sure they’re cooled, refrigerated promptly and reheated safely where appropriate.

Was the House of Shah Cheesy Box Worth Trying?

For me, the main attraction of this box was always going to be the variety and the sheer amount of food.

I’d heard so many people recommending it that I wanted to see what the script was.

And now I can finally say I’ve tried it.

The combination of pizza, cheeseburger, chips and cheese, donner meat and naan makes it a substantial takeaway order.

It’s particularly appealing if you’re feeding a few people or fancy sharing a selection of different things.

And as I’ve mentioned, the presentation of the pizza is something House of Shah continues to get right.

Would I recommend looking into it if you’re after a big sharing feast?

Absolutely worth considering, particularly if those are the sorts of takeaway foods you enjoy.

My Final Verdict – Another House of Shah Box Ticked Off!

Well, that’s another recommendation from the Ribz Reviews followers finally ticked off the list.

The House of Shah Cheesy Box in Hamilton had been mentioned to me plenty of times, and I’m glad I eventually got round to trying it.

It’s a massive selection of takeaway favourites, and there’s certainly no shortage of food.

The pizza presentation was as impressive as I’ve come to expect from House of Shah, and the amount of scran was more than enough for the two of us.

So much so that we had breakfast waiting for us the next day!

Now I want to know: Where in Lanarkshire does your favourite big takeaway sharing box?

Whether it’s a munchy box, pizza box, kebab feast or something completely different, let me know where I should be heading next.

I’m always looking for another one to try!
