When you review as many takeaways as I do, it takes something special for one place to become a regular order. However, 7 Spices in Hamilton has managed exactly that.
I’ve ordered from here more than any other takeaway since starting my reviews, and its pizzas remain among the best I’ve tried. In fact, its chicken chasni pizza is currently my favourite pizza anywhere.
Chicken Chasni Pizza
This is one we’ve ordered several times, and it continues to deliver. The creamy, slightly sweet chasni sauce works brilliantly as a pizza topping, especially when combined with the chicken and melted cheese.
Curry pizzas can sometimes be overloaded or lose the flavour of the curry, but this one gets the balance right. It’s rich, full of flavour and exactly the kind of pizza that keeps bringing us back to 7 Spices.
Chicken Tikka Bhuna Pizza Fries
As I’ve already tried the chicken chasni pizza several times, I decided to add something different to the order and went for the chicken tikka bhuna pizza fries.
These were lovely jubbly!
It was a massive portion of chips loaded with bhuna curry sauce, plenty of chunky pieces of chicken tikka and a heavy serving of melted cheese over the top.
There was no shortage of toppings, and it definitely wasn’t one of those portions where everything disappears after the first few chips. The bhuna sauce added plenty of curry flavour, while the chicken tikka and melted cheese made it a seriously filling side.
Realistically, it was big enough to work as a meal by itself.
The Spicy Chicken Pizza
The spicy chicken pizza from 7 Spices also deserves a mention because it’s right up there with the best pizzas I’ve tried.
If you prefer something with more heat than the creamy chicken chasni pizza, this would be another strong choice. Between the spicy chicken and chicken chasni pizzas, 7 Spices has given me more than one reason to keep returning.

I’ve ordered from here more than anywhere else since I began posting my local food reviews, which probably says more than any individual score could. The chicken chasni pizza is my current favourite pizza, the spicy chicken version is also among the best I’ve tried, and the loaded chicken tikka bhuna pizza fries were another great addition.
When I’m repeatedly spending my own money somewhere, it’s because the food has earned another visit—and 7 Spices keeps doing exactly that.
