Fresco Deli Bellshill Review – A Cracking Chicken, Cheese & Curry Wrap

Have you tried Fresco Deli Bellshill?

Sometimes you’re not looking for a massive meal. You just want something quick, tasty and filling to keep you going.

That’s exactly what I was after when I stopped by Fresco Deli on Lawmuir Road in Bellshill.

I’d heard about the place and fancied seeing what they had to offer, but on this particular visit, I was only looking for a wee quick bite.

And while there were plenty of things on the menu that caught my eye, I eventually settled on the Fresco Special Wrap.

Was it worth the stop? Let’s get into it.

Please note: This is an older review from my original visit. I believe Fresco Deli may have changed hands since then, although I haven’t confirmed this. The menu, ownership and food may have changed, so this review reflects my experience at the time.

What I Ordered at Fresco Deli Bellshill

The Fresco Special Wrap

The Fresco Special Wrap was a fairly straightforward combination of:

  • Chicken fillets
  • Cheese
  • Curry sauce
  • A toasted wrap

Nothing overly complicated, but sometimes the simplest combinations are the best.

And I’ll tell you something.

Cheese and curry sauce together is an absolutely class combination.

Add some chicken into the mix, toast the whole thing in a wrap, and you’re already off to a pretty good start.

That’s exactly what I got here.

The chicken fillets worked nicely with the cheese and curry sauce, while the toasted wrap brought everything together.

It wasn’t trying to reinvent the wheel.

It was simply a tasty, satisfying wrap that did exactly what I wanted it to do.

Simple and delicious.

Plenty More on the Menu I’d Have Liked to Try

One thing I remember about Fresco Deli Bellshill was that there were some absolutely cracking-looking options on the menu.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t particularly hungry when I visited.

I’d only stopped in for a quick snack, so ordering half the menu wasn’t really an option.

Although, knowing me, that hasn’t always stopped me before. 😂

The Fresco Special Wrap was a good choice for what I wanted that day, but I definitely left thinking there were other things I’d like to come back and try.

That’s usually a good sign.

Of course, as this is an older review, I can’t guarantee those same dishes are still available today.

Would I Return to Fresco Deli Bellshill?

Based on my original visit, absolutely.

The wrap was tasty, the combination of chicken, cheese and curry sauce worked brilliantly, and there were plenty of other menu options that interested me.

It was a straightforward visit without any major surprises, but not every review needs to involve a massive feast or some outrageous food challenge.

Sometimes a good wrap is just a good wrap.

And that’s exactly what this was.

If the business has changed hands since my visit, I’d be interested to return and see what’s different.

My visit to Fresco Deli Bellshill was a quick one, but an enjoyable one.

The Fresco Special Wrap, with its chicken fillets, cheese and curry sauce, was exactly the sort of simple comfort food I was looking for.

No unnecessary fuss.

Just a tasty toasted wrap with a cracking combination of fillings.

Would I have liked to try more from the menu? Definitely.

And if I get the chance to revisit, particularly if there’s been a change of ownership, I’ll be interested to see what’s on offer now.
