Village Spice Hamilton Review – That Spicy Mince Pizza Keeps Getting Better

I’ve reviewed Village Spice Hamilton a few times now and absolutely loved it every time.

But I have to say something.

The more I try it, the more I love it.

There are certain places where you find one great order and keep going back for the same thing. Village Spice is becoming somewhere I genuinely struggle to find something I don’t enjoy.

And there’s one item in particular that deserves to be talked about…

The spicy mince pizza

Let’s just get straight to the point.

TOP TIER SCRANNAGE.

I’ve had the spicy mince pizza from Village Spice a few times now and somehow it seems to climb higher up my list every time I eat it.

Probably the biggest compliment I can give it doesn’t even come from me.

Kirstie said it’s now her favourite pizza to get from anywhere.

Considering the amount of pizza we eat, that’s a fairly serious statement 😂.

I’m not quite ready to make that declaration myself, but I’ll tell you this — every time I have it, it gets closer.

It’s tremendous.

Village Spice grill box

Of course, we couldn’t just order a pizza.

Alongside it we went for the grill box, which came absolutely loaded.

Inside we had:

  • Kebab meat
  • Chicken chaat
  • Chicken tikka
  • Lamb tikka
  • Chicken pakora

And honestly…

Everything — and I mean EVERYTHING — was outstanding.

This wasn’t a case of having one or two great items carrying the rest of the box. There were highlights throughout it.

That lamb tikka…

The lamb tikka was ridiculous.

Full of flavour and easily one of the standout parts of the entire order.

Then there was the chicken tikka.

This was incredibly soft and juicy while still absolutely bursting with flavour. Sometimes you can get tikka that’s well seasoned but ends up a little dry — there was none of that here.

The kebab meat was fresh and tasty as well, making even the simplest part of the grill box enjoyable.

Chicken chaat

The chicken chaat deserves a mention of its own because it was a little different from what you’ll find in plenty of other takeaways.

It wasn’t absolutely smothered in a thick layer of sauce that leaves your fingers stained for the rest of the night.

Instead, you could actually enjoy the chicken and the flavour without everything being dominated by sauce.

Another winner for me.

Aloo tikka and chicken pakora

We also added aloo tikka and chicken pakora to the order.

Because apparently a pizza and a grill box containing half the menu wasn’t enough 😂.

Once again, both went down brilliantly and just added to what was already a seriously good takeaway spread.

My verdict on Village Spice Hamilton

I could probably sit here talking about this order all night, but it’s genuinely making me hungry again just writing about it.

I’ve visited Village Spice several times now, so this isn’t based on one good experience.

I genuinely think it’s getting better every time I try it.

The spicy mince pizza continues to climb my personal pizza rankings, the grill box was excellent from top to bottom and there wasn’t anything in this order that disappointed me.

The lamb tikka was outstanding.

The chicken tikka was juicy and packed with flavour.

The chicken chaat offered something a little different.

And that spicy mince pizza?

Top. Tier. Scrannage.

If you’re looking for a takeaway in Hamilton and Village Spice isn’t already on your radar, get yourself along and give it a try.

And tell them Uncle Ribz sent you.
